A student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Lagos, was shot in the head by suspected cultists in a mid-day attack on Monday is alive and responding to treatment at LUTH.
Sahara as identified by the media report IA a student of Philosophy, was shot close to King Jaja Hall area of the institution.
Eyewitnesses said that the attackers shot at the students from a moving car and
as students fled to safety ,the victim bled all over his body.
A student narrator said the attackers sped off in a car after the shooting.
"It was scary. We heard the gunshots from the King Jaja Hall area and everybody just ran for cover.
"Some of us saw a car sped off after the shooting. It was believed that the perpetrators might have carried out the attack from the car,.”
Prof. Olukayode Amund, also the Dean student Affairs is now recuperating in LUTH following the attack.
Investigation is now on process with collaboration of the police to get the perpetrators.
Activities of learning and others have been resumed after the attack.
